🚀 Getting started
How do I create an account?
Go to aurvio.app/register and sign up with your email address and a password, or use "Continue with Google" for one-click sign-up. Registration takes less than 60 seconds.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan lets you add one child and they receive 3 daily challenge questions per day across Maths, English, and Science — no credit card required. Upgrade at any time to unlock unlimited questions and up to 4 child profiles.
Which devices does Aurvio work on?
Aurvio is a Progressive Web App (PWA) and works on any modern device with a browser — iPad, iPhone, Android tablets and phones, Chromebooks, and desktop computers.

How do I add a child?
How many children can I add?
The free plan supports 1 child profile. Paid plans (Monthly, Yearly, or Per-Term) support up to 4 child profiles.
How does my child access Aurvio?
You sign in on your device and hand it to your child to practise. From the parent dashboard, tap your child's card to open their home screen. Children see no account management, billing, or subscription information — just their subjects, daily challenge, and garden.
Can I change a child's year level?
Yes. From the parent dashboard, tap your child's card → tap the edit (pencil) icon → update their year level. All future questions will be from the new year level immediately.
🧠 How Aurvio works
What subjects are covered?
Aurvio covers three subjects aligned to the Australian Curriculum (ACARA):
- Maths — Number, Algebra, Measurement, Geometry, Statistics & Probability
- English — Reading, Vocabulary, Grammar & Punctuation, Spelling
- Science — Biological, Chemical, Earth & Space, Physical sciences
What is the daily challenge?
Each day, your child receives a set of questions across their subjects. Free plan: 3 questions. Paid plan: unlimited questions. Completing the daily challenge earns XP and maintains their streak.
How does adaptive difficulty work?
Aurvio tracks your child's accuracy per subject and automatically adjusts difficulty (Tiers 1–5):
- 3 correct answers in a row → difficulty increases
- 2 incorrect answers in a row → difficulty steps down
Your child always works at the edge of their ability — never bored, never overwhelmed.
What are XP and levels?
Every correct answer earns XP (experience points). As XP accumulates, your child levels up. Levels unlock new badge milestones and help you see growth over time. XP never expires.
What are streaks?
A streak counts how many consecutive days your child has practised. Streaks are displayed on the parent dashboard and encourage daily habits. Missing a day resets the current streak, but the longest-ever streak is always saved.
What are badges?
Badges are milestone rewards earned automatically — for example, answering 10 questions correctly, maintaining a 7-day streak, or mastering a subject at a particular level. Your child can view earned badges from their home screen.
📊 Understanding progress
Where do I see my child's progress?
The parent dashboard shows each child's XP, current streak, last active date, and level. The Weekly Progress section shows a 7-day bar chart of correct answers by subject, plus an all-time subject breakdown.
Do I receive progress reports by email?
Yes. You automatically receive a Weekly Progress Report every Sunday summarising each child's XP earned, streak, and any badges awarded that week. You can also enable or disable the Inactivity Nudge — a friendly reminder if your child hasn't practised in 3 days — from Settings → Notifications.
🌿 The garden
What is the garden?
Each child has their own virtual Australian garden. As they earn XP, seeds are planted and plants grow. The garden contains five native Australian plants — Golden Wattle, Banksia, Eucalyptus, Waratah, and Bottlebrush — plus rare wildlife visitors like Koalas, Kookaburras, and Rainbow Lorikeets that appear when plants reach full maturity.
How do plants grow?
- A new seed is planted every 50 XP (5 correct answers)
- Each plant grows one stage every 20 XP (2 correct answers)
- Plants have 5 growth stages (seed → mature)
- Rare plants (Waratah, Bottlebrush) unlock from Level 5 onward
How does my child access their garden?
From the child's home screen, tap the My Garden button. Tap any plant to see its name, fun fact, and any wildlife visitor.

All prices in AUD. The Per Term plan provides 70 days of access (~10 school weeks).
How do I upgrade?
From the parent dashboard, click Plans & pricing in the footer, or from Settings → Subscription → "View plans". Choose a plan and complete the checkout — you'll have full access immediately.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Go to Settings → Subscription → "Manage billing". This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can cancel, change plan, or update payment details. On cancellation, you retain full access until the end of your current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first paid subscription if you're not satisfied. Email support@aurvio.app. After 7 days, refunds are provided at our discretion in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
🔐 Account security
How do I change my password?
Go to Settings → Password. Enter your current password and choose a new one (minimum 8 characters).
What is two-factor authentication (2FA)?
2FA adds an extra layer of security. After entering your password, you'll also need a 6-digit code from an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, or similar). Even if someone knows your password, they cannot access your account without your phone.
How do I enable 2FA?
2FA is available for email/password accounts. Google accounts use Google's own security.
I lost access to my authenticator app — what do I do?
Email support@aurvio.app from your registered email address. After verifying your identity, we'll disable 2FA so you can regain access.
🔒 Privacy & your data
What data do you collect?
We collect only what's needed to run the service:
- Parent: name, email address, password hash
- Child: first name, year level, quiz answers, XP, badges, garden
- No phone numbers, addresses, photos, or location data
Is children's data used for advertising?
Never. Children's data is never used for advertising, profiling, or sold to any third party. We don't show ads anywhere on Aurvio.
Where is data stored?
All data is stored in Sydney, Australia on AWS ap-southeast-2. It never leaves Australian jurisdiction.
How do I delete my account and all data?
All data — your profile, children, quiz history, badges, and garden — is permanently deleted. Any active Stripe subscription is cancelled. Audit logs (retained for legal compliance) are purged within 12 months.
